As the sun rises for the first time in December, many of us sharpen our focus on Christmas. As Christians we strive to fight back the mind-numbing malaise of consumerism, but the waves of comparisons, hallmark movies, and desperate expectation batter us until we are sucked into the current of the pagan holiday rather than enjoying preeminent reason behind it all, Jesus.

In an effort to support your desire for Spiritual growth through the celebration of Christmas and to unify our hearts as a spiritual family, we will be participating in daily readings. These readings are designed to help create a heightened focus on the coming of Jesus. We will scour the Old Testament for pictures of Jesus so that we can understand why Jesus’ advent was so desperately anticipated, and why the reality of his birth has such incredible implications for you and I.
