Our waiting has ended. Today we celebrate the Advent of Christ.
The eternal Word from heaven humbly submitted to his fathers will in order to win our wayward hearts.
The One through whom all things were made chose to be carried, born, and laid where animals fed.
The moguls of history turn nations through power, but God manipulated the cosmos to bring the power of God through powerless people; a faithful priest, a teenage girl, a group of shepherds, and many more met the r equest of their creator with obedience.
He came unnoticed by many, rejected by some, received by a few—and yet His coming changed everything.
He took on our flesh to heal it.
He entered our darkness to flood it with light.
He bore our sin to give us His name.
And now Heaven sings.
Nature sings.
And every human heart is invited to join the chorus.
